    The Apprentice Ecologist Initiative is one that is working towards the betterment of the ecosystem and also has several projects to inculcate the feeling in the young minds to conserve and protect nature. If you are a national of Nigeria and you want to go to the United Kingdom, you will need to apply for a visa.

To be eligible for a UK visa, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must leave the UK at the end of your visit
  • You must be able to support yourself and any dependents for the duration of your trip
  • You must be able to pay for your return or onward journey and any other costs relating to your visit

Types of visas for the United Kingdom:

There are different types of visas for the UK. You must apply for the correct one depending on why you want to travel to the UK:

1. Standard Visitor Visa – if you are going to the UK on holiday or to see your family and friends, for business or private medical treatment.


Marriage Visitor Visa – if you are planning on getting married
Permitted Paid Engagement Visa – if you want to do specific paid work
Parent of a Tier 4 Child Visa – if your child attends an independent fee-paying day school
Visit the UK in a Chinese Tour Group – for up to 30 days as part of a tour group through the approved destination status agreement (ADS) (Chinese citizens only)

You can apply up to 6 months before your programme starts, and the process normally takes around 3 weeks.

No, the Standard Visitor Visa will allow you to stay in the UK for up to 6 months only. If you are planning on staying longer AND your family is settled in the UK, you would need to apply for a “family of a settled person” visa. See GOV.UK for more information

It depends on the visa application center where you will be attending your appointment. The centers have different services available, so you check with them to see if they offer this
